I remember back almost 4 years ago when I was a volunteering at a cow refuge in an ashram in India. I remember having this feeling I am going to write a book and its called “Through the eyes of a cow”. I must say it took a couple of years for me to take that seriously, and really believe I would write a real book!

It has been one of the most incredible experiences of my life. Basically I travelled around the world to different country’s visiting beef farms, dairy farms, veal farms, abattoirs, sale yards, refuges, small farms, organic farms and simply spent lots of time with cows. I sat with them in paddocks for hours and weeks on end; they were an absolute pleasure to spend time with – even the cow in Switzerland who kicked me!

In this book I write a detailed account of what really goes on in a cows life –find out what’s important to them, get a feel for how they relate to humanity and most importantly, an understanding of how incredible they are as a species and what profound wisdom they have to share with us about living in harmony, with ourselves, each other and the planet.

I love cows, and look forward to the day when they can all live their lives exactly as they would like.
